Don't they sell universal plates you just cut down to fit?

That's pretty much the way to go. Ray Barton used to have them for RB-Hemi.

Why reinvent the wheel if an easier solution is available. I saw a guy post on utube that the Schumacher /6 to SB has a lot of flaws. I'm building a 10.0 index class car and don't want to run into snags and not be ready for 2025.

how much easier is it to buy a motor plate and cut it to fit? i've done 2 of them in my car from different engines. one was mild steel, other is aluminum. takes very little time to do. can't get much easier then that.

Ever since Motech bought them out a couple years ago. I
have bought several types ( Including this model) and they fit perfect!

Some years back when Schumacher made them = There were issues.
