RESURRECTED! The car is alive , got the 318 fired up , filled it with oil and coolant ...first crack I had the distributor in 180 out lol , I knew immediately , then she fired up after a 10 year slumber in the corner of the garage ! I am so happy to hear the car running , been a long time coming ! Still have to set the timing and adjust the carb , it’s a 625cfm AFB , this entire engine and set up is temporary but exciting none the less

Working away slowly but surely. Set timing and carb, sounding better now. installed seat belts, interior panels , door panels, pass side mirror, driver side lock, shouldn't be too long before I can take er for a rip...

Got the wheels/tires put on, had to get the diameter of the hubs of the rotors turned down they wouldn't fit in the aftermarket Magnum style wheels I bought, they took about 3-4mm off the hubs to be 67mm. Pic after being machined compared to a normal F body rotor

By chance do you have a photo of your transmission tunnel looks like from inside the car? I'm changing my 79 RR from auto to manual

Been AWOL on here for a few years, and I must apologize for that , so much has happened since 2021 but there is one thing has remained a constant in my life that I always come back to and that is the F Body cars. Quick update and long story short my daughter and I drove the Volare to Moparfest in New Hamburg, Ontario in 2022 and it has basically sat in my garage since, it was a great trouble free drive and we cruised home on the 407 toll road at 80 MPH amongst all the modern cars that looked like microwaves and toasters , that was thanks to the 2:73 open rear chunk I threw in the 8 3/4 just for the trip ( had 4:30 sure grip before the swap!)… but I finally got back to it in the last few weeks, finally got around to some things that needed attention since 2022 that we identified on the trip , the biggest being the 295 50 15 rear tires were rubbing on big bumps so I just replaced those last week with some cop wheels I dug out of the dirt in my backyard, also installed an AFR gauge , replaced the oil pressure gauge that got stuck at 25 psi on the trip , also started tuning the Street Demon 750 now that I have the AFR , also replaced the mufflers and tightened up the exhaust system and some other things , drove the Volare last Sunday about 30 miles round trip to fill up with 94 octane (only certain stations sell it here in Ontario) and it has never ran better.. though I am still dialling it in and more tuning required , but great to get rolling again , wow time flies I just turned 52 and I know everyone on here knows how time gets away on you , just had my first health problems of my whole life in 2025 and what an eye opener ! I got my first Aspen in ‘89 when I was 16 years old and here I am in ‘25 still chasing the F body dream …. Pic from last Sunday first drive in 3 years
