Need Help with spring mounts

Does anybody have a good idea of where I can get some new center spring mounts?

Check with Jim's Arizona Parts, he may have what you need. He is a member on this site also.

Can't recall off the top of my head where, but there are poly cushions available (maybe PST?). I've got them in my car and so far, so good.
 
Thank you I just sent him an email. I did not expect everything to be this rusted out before the tear down my inexperience really showed on this on.
 
Go with an ISO Delete and use B body shock plates. Those are readily available on FABO/ FBBO. Mancini also sells them. This eliminates the rubber spring pads, giving a better ride and will raise the rear of your car around 1”.
Use B body shocks.
You can make a “washer” either welded to your axles perches or replace the bolt that holds the spring pack together using an appropriate sized washer with the correct (1 5/8” IIRC) outer diameter. I holesaw 3/16 plate steel to make them. I forget the outer dimensions.

I appreciate the suggestion on that but I'm trying to get this this car back together on a next to nothing budget. Over $400 in hardware is way beyond me right now At this point I'm about to see what I can find on car-part .com or just pull the center plates and hangers from my other car but I really dont want to make it a paper weight, as it's the car that I know to be reliable.

post a wtb ad on the fb ,someone will have a set of b body plates.
shouldnt be more than 40 or 50 bucks,and then buy some u bolts and b body shocks.
dont go back with the rubber isolated factory Crap.
edit: in fact i just realized i need a set too,ill make us both a wanted ad over on the fbbo.

That would be cool of you, I dont have a Facebook so that thought never comes to mind. Since reading these posts and looking into it I think it might a better route to go B body shock plates. I'll just have to send back my new rear shocks and get some B body shocks. For the most part I am just trying to keep this car OEM but yea for the sake of cost sacrifices have to be made when I dont have much of a budget.

Top pic, drink beer, trim traction bar to use shock plate with a B Body shock.

bottom pic, drink more beer, trim traction bar and use stock shocks. Saving money on shocks to buy more beer.

That’s what I’m saying. There’s so many options out there but.... simply using what’s available is perfectly fine.

I was down and out dragging my leaf spring on the pavement to repaired in under $50.....
using a swap meet special traction bar, cut up to only use the “shock plate” from it.

I’ll add a pic when I get home from work.... CoronaVirus pending....

Sharp eyed viewers will know the wood 2X4 trick........
 
Thanks for the help Mirada you're giving me alot to work with. I dont have much imagination when it comes to fraburcating (big reason why I joined this forum) this is giving some things to really look into, see if I can get this baby one the road again. Btw that 2x4 trick is like some shit I used to see in my hometown all the time really gave me a laugh to seeing those pics.
 
Those ISO-clamp brackets (upper or lower) is an FMJ weak link.
The lower half comes in either 4-leaf or 5-leaf spring versions - which will not interchange.

My opinion, get some non-rusty replacements from Jim in Arizona or replace with a much stronger version (older A, B, C, E) body versions and toss those rubber biscuits to the trash can (where they belong). By doing that only, can raise the rear of car up by 1/2" and car will feel so much better over bumps and turns.
The downside is you will have to also convert to '66-72 B-body shocks and make a differential perch adapter (aka: a flat washer) to use the them.

The items MiradaMegaCab might also work - but you will still need to do something to make sure the differental perches are centered correctly.

I know it's a long shot, but if you could find a slapper bar that's made in the US, they may sell you the clamping plates from the production floor before they get welded to the bar. That would make it so easy. I'm sure most are made in China but worth checking. If not, start cutting and grinding. As Bud says, the A/B body stuff will work but you have to track it down.
