My 87 Gran Fury has no heat I changed all the hoses the thermostat and put a different heater control valve in someone told me flush the heater core anybody have any ideas?

Are both heater hoses hot at the fire wall? If they are chances are good it's not the heater core and something else like blend door actuator is the problem.

there is a lever on top of the heater box, that you should be able to open or close the door, with an AC car, this will be the Air diverter which closes off the air flow from the heater core and sending it to the AC evaporator. they tend to rust and lock up, so treat it gently, dont force it if it is stuck.

great thanks ill try it why do you think the AC isn't blowing out of the vents when I hit Max AC even if there's no freon air should come out of the vents right ?

hmmmm. there should be something, if the fan is running, you should at least be able to hear it. you can test the vacuum , by attaching aquarium airline to it and blowing into it. if they still operate, the dampers should open/close.

Some of the doors could be electric. They are on Chryslers, i don't know how far they got into the automatic temperature control on the others.

I think AC comes out of the front vents and heat comes out of the defrost and floor. It won't make a difference if AC works or not it's not smart enough to know.
