Followed yesterday with:
1. 1 hour drive to town
2. tax office, bank, bakery, and drive to DMV (1.5 hours)
3. sit in dmv to renew license (1.5 hours)
4. lunch (1 hour)
5. lowes, book store, retail store (1.5 hours)
6. get gas, drive home in the rain (1.5 hours)
No work on the cars or the house.... another day gone. Sigh

Alrighty,
I was able to check out a junkyard and found no one there and their tow truck with the driveline dragging in the dirt. Felt a little creepy so I left. Was looking for a dc radiator fan for the greenhouse.

Came back and check on my dad's meds.
Lets just say the experiment of using co-reg did not go well and I removed all the co-reg from his pill caddy and drug box. Told him to sleep it off and I'd come check him again tomorrow. He definitely can't tolerate it -- blood pressure was just a wee bit too low.

Back home and chain sawed 2 trees.
Disproved the theory that I can leave a little of the 'good' gas in the chainsaw over the winter and after topping it off in the spring it will run just fine. The 'good' gas crapped out the carb just not as bad as the ethanol gas.
Back-up chain saw was left empty all winter. I topped it off and it ran fine.

Took Darth-Car's antenna apart and pulled the mast cord gingerly out of the gearing.
Well guess what... the fine looking aluminum tube I put on the end of the cord, crimping the end, is too soft to act as a firm stop. After about 5 or 6 times, the aluminum just straightened out and pulled away letting the cord spin free.

Well damn. It was a very pretty solution..up until it failed. lol

I'll get some pictures in the morning and show you the problem.
Here all this time I thought it was the limiter.

On any small engine, if you do not plan using it for a couple of weeks, you are best to “run it out of gas”, then put it away.

That way there is no deposits to gather and nothing to “crap out”, so to speak.
