What do i need to convert my '80 aspen with power steering to manual? Thanks

If memory serves , the box and a different pitman arm iirc . I think 1 arm comes it from the top , and the other comes in from the bottom . I think , been awhile .

I also think the steering shaft from the rag joint is longer on the manual. I've got both boxes in my garage.

Up Your Shaft

Most any sixties or seventies manual box will do. Just get the manual steer Pitman arm for your particular car (F-body).

For the shaft, the way I did it, you'll need a chop saw, tape measure, a piece of metal tubing that will fit like a sleeve over the shaft, and a welder (man and machine).

Cut the shaft, use the tube as a sleeve to extend it the needed amount, weld it up and reistall it.

I'll try to wedge my camera into my Volare and post up a picture.
