put new meats on

i put these on one side to check fit, after all the measuring and reading they do fit and don't hit. raised car a llittle bit too. just have to decide to order two more or drop a size. what do you think? first pics are 14" ralleys .Rims are 15x8 4" backspace, tires are bf goodrich 255/60/15

I like it! Nice choice of wheels too. Funny, I used to have 14" Rally wheels with 205/70R14 and went to 255/60R15 also (on the rear only though). Front's are 225/60R15 and wish I'd gone with a taller tire up there.

JMO, a slightly shorter tire on the front would look good, give it just a little bit of the "big and little's" look. As I said, JMO.

BEEFY! 8" wide @ 4" backspacing (zero offset) is just the best square fitment for F bodies. Wide but just shy of the fenders.

But beware of full lock turns over big bumps. Factory soft torsion bars and weak anti-roll bars won't stop you from squishing your fenders if you get too aggressive.

Thanks, i did bouce it quite a bit but your right it might hit,in a rare instance , i may go with a 235/60/15 up front thats just under an inch shorter and .7" narrower a 245/60/15 is 1/2" shorter and .4" narrower ,i like the idea of better handling with same size tires. Tire pricing is minor difference in sizes,

Nah you did it right. Keep it square. You need all the contact patch you can get up front.

The real solution to the dive is a set of Firm Feel HD torsion bars and beefy anti-sway bars so it stops articulating like a Jeep.

I like the look. Mt R/T has larger rear tires than the front. It gives it a little rake. On my Volare the tire diameters are the same just different widths. Each looks good to me. It just comes down to what you like.

Some night photos of new tires on. Finally pulled trigger. 255/60/15 on 15x8 out back 4” backspace. Fronts 235/60/15 on 15x8 4” backspace. No rubs anywhere any time but did have to move wheel weights inside rim for clearance from top A arm by ball joint. Tire place put weights that stuck out a quater inch past rim . Drives great big change in ride.

Thanks Opticon77, i liked the old school look a little better , the 15x8 made the 235 nice and fat up front and gave it a little rake. Just about an inch difference . Forgot i had a pic of you leaving show. Car looked great
