1500 in labor!? Jesus Christ.
Wouldn’t make a difference, he’s not going to pull parts at a junk yard. I’ve been telling him for the last 15 years to learn how to work on cars. Never happened. He tried unsuccessfully changing his shocks once. Ended up having the truck towed to a shop to have it finished. Not that it particularly makes it better or worse, but he has the money to spare to have someone else make it their problem…and that’s the price he’ll pay.Woah wtf kind of pricing is that?

$1500 in parts for a 13 year old truck? Holy heck. I get it that not everyone works on cars. But they can't tell him what he needs to get (charge him an hour of labor for their time) and send him to a junkyard with a parts list?

Update: brother text me in the middle of the night, he’s going to go through his insurance and either get it fixed for his deductible or see if they’ll total it out. Trucks been paid off and just barley cracked 100k miles so, he should get a pretty decent chunk of cash if they total it out with current market prices on trucks.
