OK you guys, just a quick status update: I picked up a Derale 15715 kit (ports up on the oil filter end). eBay score, $50 shipped to my door, so a good buy I think.
Once I have it here I'll take a stab at making the mounting plates behind the bumper, seems like a really handy location!
