The FMJ Weather Channel

9*F here and snowing, I keep telling my wife what the weather is in San Clemente, CA. (57* sunny, with a high of 73*) she gets pissed at me every time ! :icon_razz: she asks if we're moving there or something. I just laugh and tell her we should. she finally told me she had a dream about going on vacation there: I about died laughing. :laughing5::glasses7: to top it all off, I got a fortune cookie that said i'd ''do well to vacation in the west' swear to God!

Usually when stuff like this happens, it comes down from Alaska/The Yukon/Northwest Territories. Jet stream shifts downward, which allows the really cold arctic air to reach further south. We are at a balmy -17C (1.4F) today. Current forecasts have the temperature rising by Wednesday. Only issue with this is that weathermen can't predict what is going to happen this afternoon, much less a couple of days out.

The only job where you can be wrong 90% of the time and still keep your job....

I would like to invite you down to the 59 degree warmth that is this afternoon. The web-weather predicts a delightful high of 73 tomorrow. You guys can stand around in your shorts drinking ice cold beer with me and my coat. I lived in 30 below with an 80 below windchill before and have migrated down to where mankind does not recognize the snow shovel. As good as it is, it is hell hot from mid may thru the first week of September. A moderate southwest climate does sound nice.

As inhumane as our winters can be....I can't really complain.
I'm used to winter from living here my whole life and spring and fall up here is simply gorgeous. We get brain melting heatwaves in summer but the duration is nothing like southern states. All in all I'd say it's a good trade off up here. I do enjoy having four seasons.

We will hit a nice warm and sunny 58 degrees tomorrow. I worked on rainy Saturday so I could take today off.

ain't that the truth! I was in the southwest for boot camp and infantry school. In the summer there were a couple days where it got over 85* and they wouldn't let us train outside. I was like wtf?! I'd check the sunday paper, and the weather back home was in the upper 90's. PLUS humidity! it was always at least 10-20* hotter all summer long.

Okay....it's all out freakin' freezing here.
My poor car.....started it leaving work and I swear my power steering pump was moaning. I'd have to check but it's minus something stupid here.

And my poor car will have to do it again tomorrow.....

This was discussed here a while back. Been below 0 for a week or so & been getting these both morn. and aft. Yesterday almost the whole day! Caused by ice crystals in the air.

Yes, those are sundogs. They look like that most of the time, sometimes one, but most of the time, in a pair. Sometimes they look like small rainbows.

Good picture BHA43.

Yea after I split the screen, I could have got the sun and both dogs in one pic. but they were gone by then.

Sweat-hot with gnats. I got an extra bedroom if anybody want to come down & work on some Mopar & drink some beer. Web says 68 degrees, but I would add 5 degrees to that here on the pier.

What I love about these threads is that no one posts weather in the summer, because up north, it's nice. In the winter when they boast about cold, snow-fall, wind, & ice,, I post some mad smack temperatures.
