It is sad, as an auto tech I've seen cars and trucks get scrapped because of excessive rust at way too young an age. Just recently it was a 2006 Toyota Tundra,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,box half gone and the frame close to rusted right in half (came in with a poor handling concern, lol). Starting to see some vehicles as new as 2010 with rust holes starting to bubble through on the rear wheel lips and rockers. Have seen more than one mid 2000's Crown Vic get hauled in with the lower control arm rear bracket rotted right out of what used to be a frame. Hate to say it but the mid 2000's Ram's have a major rust problem over the rear wheels. So many have gaping holes in what used to be a fender lip. It just isn't right.
