Yeah, I'm out of sync. It is the FOLLOWING weekend......................Wishful thinking, lol!

I think I'm trailer bound for that weekend.
But this weekend should be Mopar Mayhem if the weather holds. Of course now they're talking rain.......damn.

It's 40 degrees warmer today than it was exactly one week ago. Actually it's a hair more than that (96*) right now and it got UP to 54 last Tuesday. Gotta love the humidity, it's "only" 67% so you know what that means don't you? Yep, hardly any breeze at all.

Disclaimer: That's not meant to be a complaint. 96, humid and calm is 1,000 times better than -10(f), dry with a windchill of -35(f) or worse,,,,,,,,,,,,,,all that and a blizzard on top of it.

There's a car show up in Merrill on Labor Day Monday, like 25(ish) miles north so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,next 3 days hot and humid but no rain. Monday? You guessed it,,,,,,,,RAIN. I just f****** give up. It's been like that the entire season so far. One even had the rain date rained out. It's always clear and beautiful the day before and after the scheduled show but it WILL rain the day of the show. Suppose, wouldn't want to break the tradition.

We seem to be having the same luck.
Everytime I have time to get the cars out the weather goes to crap. I'm purposely not going to the trailer on a long weekend just so I can take them out this weekend. If it rains I'm a gonna be royally pissed.

In the meantime the cook off continues up here.
High 90's all week and that's without the fumidex.

Only low 80's here today but humid as all heck. Naturally, hot and humid always means NO BREEZE.
Going to suck but I HAVE to mow my back yard tonight. Last evening it looked fine. Wandered out there this morning before work and holy crap! I swear it grew 3" overnight and another inch while I was at work. Son of a.................Wonder if the neighbors would get upset if I went out there to mow naked? Sure would be a whole lot more comfortable. Probably shouldn't try it and find out! LOL

High 80's and still really humid. What saves us is the sun is sort of filtered by a haze.

They reduced the chance of t-storms for Monday so maybe, just maybe the car will enter it's first show. If there's even the slightest chance of rain though, it's not going. If the show was just a few miles away, maybe. Then if it looked like rain was coming I could high tail it for home but the show is a minimum 45 minute drive. Plus, just because it's clear and sunny here it could be storming up there. Hope for the best I suppose.

Then again, it could be a beautiful sunny day at my house and only a few miles away on the north side (for example) of the city could be getting pounded with rain, hail and high winds............

The oven is set to broil. When I got up this morning about 5:30 it was 74 degrees. Tried to get out early and do the edging along the driveway before it got too hot. By 9am couldn't stand it out there in the sun anymore. Only 79 degrees so far but the humidity is 84% and that makes it unbearable unless you're in the shade.
After tomorrow though, then we go into the fridge all of a sudden. Funny how 65 in the spring feels really warm but 65 in the fall feels cold and mid 40's in January you're outside in short sleeves but 46 in September and it's almost winter coat and hat time.

Rain started about 4pm and went all night it appears. Nice light show too! Lightning for days but mostly the cloud to cloud type, not to the earth. The official rain total is 4.5",,,,,,,,,,,,,,holy shnikies! Saw that we also have a flood warning in effect.
6:45am and 72 degrees with 100% humidity. Just a TAD sticky out, lol!

Unless it makes a miraculous recovery, car show's a bust today. Overcast yet, drizzling, everything is soaking wet..............Even if it cleared up now, with the high humidity it'd still be hours for the water to evaporate off the roads AND the show requires parking on grass which with all the rain last night, means mud. Another show ruined by the stupid weather :(

Bet tomorrow will be totally clear and sunny. You just watch.

Same here. At noon it's overcast and a balmy 56(f). Headed back up tomorrow and into next week. Close to 80 middle of the week!

We're supposed to have clear and 60-65 this weekend, HOPE! Tonight, down to mid 30's. Seriously? Way, WAY too soon for that crap!
