Have never had any kids here and I do know there's nobody under the age of 25 on my street, don't remember really ever seeing any kids in the neighborhood period.

You're right, I could take a year off from work and work around here 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and still not be done. Today,,,,,,,,,some things will get done (actually went to the bank and grocery but was back home before 8am) but humans need sleep and I haven't gotten nearly enough of that the past couple weeks. Add in a lot of physical work at work (have replaced 6 transmissions, 2 engines, on rear axle and just started on my next engine change yesterday along with other stuff in between the big jobs) and I NEED REST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting old(er) really sucks..........................

Supposed to be sunny and high 50's for Sunday so I'll bust ass around here then. That's my justificatation for being a sloth today, lol.

I say enjoy today.
Never know what tomorrow brings.
If the wind picks up, my leaves will be cleared.

I've been here for 18 yrs.
Any kids have grown up and there's very few kids around here.

Halloween in Canada-
Halloween polar bear patrol out in full force

The town is ramping up its polar bear patrol to keep children safe on Halloween night.

Halloween is known as the most dangerous night of the year in. Not only is it the peak of polar bear migration; it's also when all the children fill the streets in pursuit of candy.

Keeping trick-or-treaters safe

"It's important that people and the trick-or-treaters are safe and can go about their business without worrying about bears entering town,".

Polar Bears,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I can't decide if you guys are serious about that or not, lol! Worse we have around here are wolves and a pair of mountain lions in the area.

FINALLY stopped raining at some point last night. Only thing that's better though. Still heavy dark gray clouds, windy and low 40's so far. It's just basically not very nice out.

See if my prediction comes true. Yesterday sucked completely, today isn't much better. So far the weekend has sucked. What do you want to bet that tomorrow (Monday) it'll be clear, sunny, dry and warm? It's almost a guarantee...............Yeah, yeah, I know "glass is half empty" whine, whine, whine.

At least our problems are furry rather than reptiles.
A lynx can be more dangerous than a buffalo, but a polar bear is always dangerous.
No polar bears where spotted around here last night.

Had ZERO trick or treaters as it rained.
Now I'm stuck with 4000 calories of chocolate bars.

Might get some sunshine, but it's still not that cold.
I haven't fired the boiler yet.

They're saying mid 70's tomorrow and sunny.
Damn! I have to work. I'd love to pull one of the babies out and go for a rip instead.

Couldn't ask for a more perfect day for Nov 3rd. Clear, bright sunshine, high of 70 and a 1-2 mph breeze. Tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer but then,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it all comes to an abrupt end. High of 42 predicted for Saturday :(

I guess we actually got up 72 (officially at the downtown municipal airport) which tied a record. If it was 72 there, probably was more like 75 elsewhere. The airport sits on a point that sticks out into a huge lake so it's always cooler there. Good place to get the official temp, isn't it? NOT!
Socked in with fog until almost noon but once it lifted, temp managed to shoot up to high 60's and still no wind.

Neat part is, predicted low tonight of 55. The average HIGH for this date is 47. We'll take it.

Come on super El Nino!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our beautiful weather has ended. Never did see the sun today. Got up at 6am and it was 58 degrees, managed to hit low 60's in the morning with no wind. Had the doors open on the shop at work. Towards noon we had to close them all, getting too freaking cold. The front rolled in and the temp plummeted into the low 50's and the wind kicked in. Then,,,,,,,,,,,it started to mist/sprinkle and it still is. Chance of flurries tomorrow and 42 if we're lucky,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sigh. :(

The rain is coming.
But today? I was in a t-shirt all day. As in outside.
Why couldn't I have my car out instead of working?
