Here it is the end of August already, and I've only had OY out two or three times. Haven't had time to work on it, or even enjoy cruising around in it because I'm trying to get my "slow motion" house flip done. I wanted to put my "new" plaid interior in, but haven't ordered the new carpet yet, and don't have the time to really do it right. I did get the Hurst shifter in, and it is MUCH improved. Here are a few pics of OY at the local cruise event along with my buddy's '75 Dart Sport (30K original survivor), and a few other interesting cars.

OY is looking mighty fine at that show!
Thanks! It was interesting to stand away from OY and see the people that actually looked it over. More than I would have thought. There were a few that it was clear were pointing to the four speed floor shift with apparent surprise

. Hopefully next year I'll have more time to take it to shows and play around with it.

Beautiful blue coupe! Really like the red highlighted grille too. Was that standard with the R/T's?
That is an R/T grille and fairly sure it would be standard on one. Mine isn't an R/T though, started out as a Sunrise Coupe and the only NOS grille I located was an R/T one. Was going to paint the orange parts silver at first but the orange kind of grew on me after a while.

Darth, fortunately I never have a BAD day at work. I'm very lucky to work at a shop (auto repair) where there's no stress, no arguments, no pressure, everyone gets along great, we have awesome customers...............Like to say I don't work FOR my employer, I work WITH them. Couldn't ask for a better place to work or a nicer employer, seriously. Not to mention, the best parts dept of any place. Carquest is 100 feet across the lot. Actually, the building is owned by my employer and Carquest leases it. Need a part, call over and they deliver it right away or just walk over and get it. Kind of like the perfect set up!

Sometimes we have the mini car show:), if I bring my car and one of the other guys in the shop brings his LeMans.

I whipped mine out two weekends ago. I was having withdrawels and drove back to Tomball (3 and a half hours). I took it and drove it 15 miles and then did some photos. It resides in my friends car barn at 79 degrees.

That is a nice looking garage!

I should rephrase that: your car makes the garage look really nice.

I talked to him this Sunday and he told me that my car should be in a museum. He wants me to go to Dallas and run a job for him next month. He owns a drywall company.

While I can and like I should.
Summer is almost over.

I MUST put some miles on my Caravelle and the Volare. I'm thinking about just saying the hell with it and taking it to the trailer. 4 hours there and 4 back for each car.

It should be in a museum. It's gorgeous.....as long as you drive the piss out of it too.
