I've had my car out in December when it was 15 degrees out. The car has one of the best heaters of any vehicle I've ever owned. Cook you right out even at 15 degrees. The thing that puts the cars in the garage for hibernation is the first snow. Well, maybe not the first snow but, the first snow the salt trucks are out. If it snows but no salt, and it melts,,,,,,,,,,,,,,cars can still come out safely.

Finally!!!!

I finally got this girl out of the garage.
Only the second time this season.
Might take her out again tomorrow while the weather holds.
She fired right up and she's running like a champ.

I just closed my pool today and then went to put gas in my Volare' and drop my kid at a friends'.

About 3 blocks from the gas station I got pole position at the light. Probably one of my best launches ever ........ and wasn't recording.

Makes me think twice about yanking the engine.

If it's running that good why not just leave it?

Looks so sweet.
Cold weather???
Are you kidding? :happy6:

You guys in Texas don't know what cold is.....lol.

LOL! They know what hot is though. Of course, so do we. January in northcentral WI could be -30 for lows with a -50 windchill(or go 2 weeks straight where the HIGHEST temp is -20,,,,,,,,,,,,,like back in '91), and then have 108 in July.

Car's all set to come out after I eat dinner. The headlights were so far out of aim it's not even funny. Maybe now I'll actually be able to see where I'm going in the dark! Guess I'll find out soon. Not even 6pm and the sun set already :(

I know I know. The AHB motor with the 340 top end is a really fun engine. The 360 TBI offers so much more as a baseline build up. I'm not stealing any parts from my current motor to build the TBI 360. Oil pan/ pickup, intake (Weiand action plus), Edelbrock Thunder AVS 750, and the Comp roller cam. If it don't make an improvement I'll go back to the AHB.

If you can snap some pics.
If not just enjoy the drive.

Can't take pics in the dark. OK, a flash pic but not while driving. Aimed headlights made all the difference in the world. I can see now! Once I get some new glasses (that aren't a 15+ year old prescription) we'll be good to go.

Only put on maybe half a dozen miles. Better than nothing, right?

Any drive is a good drive.
I only put a few clicks on the Volare yesterday but it was great to have it out.

Suppose I should take advantage of what little time is left this year and get the car out again later this evening. It'll be all too soon before it's in the garage for the next 6-7 months. Man, 6 or 7 months. It just hit me how long that is,,,,,,,,,,,now I'm depressed.:(
