Well our local track opened back up this saturday we took the wifes Roadrunner to test and tune , didnt go well the wife was leaving off idle ,i thought the car was falling on its nose out of the hole so i took it for a pass, the wife says her burnouts was all the car had in the bleach box, wrong i brought it up through the gears ,let it pull out of the box ,staged and left on the converter .lets just say i found the weak links in the suspension ,broke both front eyelets in the rear springs and blew the front trans seal out oh well glad it was me driving not her i was able to get it back under control and limp it back to the trailer. got the springs out rust around the bushings weakend the springs anyone got a set of superstock springs to sell i was planning on doing the springs already but not this soon.

After changing the springs and replacing the converter ,converter cracked around the snout ,also removed the power steering and removing the clutch fan and adding a electric fan she has had it back to the track it picked up a half a second I guess I will let the wife run her car and stay with my GTX that way I will not break more stuff and not have to work on it as much

Ditto. What are the motors and specs of the gears and tires?

My 67 GTX has a 452 with a 727 manual valve body with a 3500 stall with hoosier drag time slicks 33.0 16.5 -15 rear is dana with 5.30 gears the wifes roadrunner has a 318 with 10.1 compression with magnum heads a 3200 stall 727 with a manual valve body 4.56 gears with 28.0-9-15 mickey Thompson et drag slicks both cars are old school the motor in the GTX has been freshened up and only has around 10 passes on it .my son also has a junior dragster we own 3 kitcars 2 Plymouths and one aspen.
