trunk key

He will need a really long screwdriver though. He can't crawl through into the trunk due to the bracing

The way I've always done it is to remove the back seat. Take a small flat screwdriver that has a 4 foot (1.25 meter) reach, and a flashlight...
Another option is to tape a small flat screwdriver to a wooden stick (broom handle, or whatever) and use it, in a pinch.

I am very inclined to go way out on a limb, and call that the only option, if the p0wer trunk release isn't working. And at this time, I commend the owner of the car for not just punching the cylinder out from the outside and ruining the decklid. Most people would have done that by now.

i have remote open so i can get in to trunk - cannot lock glove box or have key to trunk just ordered a lock set
