aiming to go pick up 4 red Fifth Avenue seats to go in my Gran Fury. and well... i haven't got a van or a truck here. the M's are the only car's I've got running at the moment. can i squeeze all four seats in the Dip without removing any seats?

what i mean is transporting the seats. sure they'll fit once i bolt them in but getting them home is the question.

i got a bench seat in the Plymouth. perhaps i could remove the passenger seats from the AHB temporarily but that car isn't really fit for long drives at this time.

i guess the back seats might fit in the trunk?

Idk, sounds like you're up for an adventure to find out! You could at least pull the rear seat to give yourself some more room. Throw a blanket over the passenger side front bench, slide it all the way back, and see if you can get a seat in upside-down.

Then maybe get whatever seat didn't fit into the trunk.

and the Fifth Avenue's seats are electric while my car has the manual slide. i recall someone on here has converted the seats before.

nonetheless they'll go in even if i might no longer be able to adjust them forward and back. as long as i have recline now

In some cases people have said the wiring is already there, at least on the driver side.

Pulling the rear seat put ahead of time in your car for more room sounds like a good idea. I would have thought that might fit better in the trunk then the fronts.

The wiring should already be there. I went from power to manual. You can always diy the wiring or get a set of manual seat tracks and convert the power seat to a manual seat.

Make sure you grab all of the seat bolt/washers off the new seats. The hardest ones to undo will be on the passenger side by the exhaust. Driver's side is easy.

And take pictures so you know where to look for the seat holes on your car.

should all just be sitting under the carpet? that's good. was planning to just convert to a manual seat but if that wiring is there, that's a plus.

it should be, it's been a minute since i did my seats, you might want to look at a wiring diagram just in case you need to steal part of the harness for your car

I'd cut the wiring off for it just in case. Especially if it's a base car without power windows and locks it might not have it. If it has those options at the least the driver side wiring would probably be there.

Harnesses should be there. But, you need the circuit breaker to power everything, so grab that from the fuse block.

Access to front bolt on passenger side is through a flap in the cat heat shield.

As far as room, yes, remove rear seat and seat back. Place new rear seat in place, put new front seat halves upside down on top of that. Should fit. Or place one half upside down on front passenger side.

aiming for Saturday to go up and fet the Fifth Avenue seats.

and just so I'm clear since it's been a long time since we took seats out. driver's and front passenger side come out with the four bolts underneath the car? door shouldn't need to come off to get em out?
where is the cat heat shield bolt? don't need to drop the cat do we?

where are the two bolts for the back seats. the bottom cushion is in with clips right? then you can see the tops clips?

The seat tracks have studs that go through the floor and there are 4 nuts with captive washers under the car that hold the seat track studs to the floor.

the cat heat shield is held in with cheap nuts that will break off if you need them to break off. The cat doesn't need to come out. If i remember correctly, there's one nut for the passenger seat by the cat that is a pain but doable.

back seat bolts are between the upper and lower cushions. The lower has annoying retainers in the floor. the top slides down into slots at he top.

i wish i took more pics when i did mine.

There should flap in the cat shield like AHBguru said to get to that one. The rear seat bottom can be a pain, I ususlly end up using something against the bottom to pry it back.

so sad, no hidden build sheet.

i think someone has been back here before, trunk sheet is all tore up and the trim isn't on right. probably from when the previous owner "fixed" the headliner
