I just got back from a great visit to southwestern Montana visiting friends who bought a cabin out there. We drove down to Yellowstone National Park just across the Wyoming border a few times and I saw these vans and trucks lined up at the northern entrance. I thought these were interesting. I have never seen anything modified like them before. I suppose they are used for the winter, as it is supposed to get pretty brutal out there.

Well, I guess I should put in a few obligatory pics of the "old" buses of Yellowstone too. Actually, these are old refurbished White bus bodies which have been mounted on a new Ford chassis. Even the dashboard was Ford. I guess they should be commended for at least trying to keep the old Whites going and safe, but they just sort of gave me the impression of being sort of fake.

There was an occasional assortment of old abandoned trucks and fewer cars scattered about the greater Bozeman area too. This old truck was near the cool little town of Chico. I don't know what make it is. Dodge maybe?

They need those busses (first pics) around here in the winter. Would cut down on the number of snow days:D

The old style White's do seem sort of fake but they're still cool.

I could see it now. A foot of snow overnight and the kids all excited about school being called off and then,,,,,,,,,,one of those pulls up at the end of the driveway, lol.

Semi off topic. Quite a few years ago (like 18), I was on Catalina Island CA and they actually did have jacked up 4x4 school busses. Not all the roads there must be car friendly I guess.
