Another really good example of these cars not being worth the money invested in them. If it's really nice in person it's maybe a 3k car max. 6k is what nice AHBs go for and that's the top end of the 4 door M body market to me

Edit: it says new aluminum radiator, but the pics show copper

An NOS 440 short block that I bought in 1994 from Herb McCandless in 1994. Mr. McCandless had bought the remaining inventory from Chrysler after they decided that they didn't need to stock them any more. I paid $750 for it. I now wish that I had bought a few.

I built it to replace the 400 in my 1974 D200. The 400 ran fine, but I wanted a 440. I used the 3769902 heads, oil pan/pickup, exhaust manifolds, valve covers, and other accessories from the 400. I added a Mopar Performance P4286675 camshaft, 440 push rods, 440 distributor, 1978 440 Thermo-quad intake, and 1978 harmonic balancer for a cast iron crankshaft.

31 years later with 158,000 miles added, many heavy use, it still runs great and I've made a few changes such as headers, air cleaner, and valve covers:

I'm not a fan of the Moroso lettering, but they made good, heavy wall, low profile chrome valve covers. Taller valve covers, such as Direct Connection chrome, interfere with the heater box.

I built a few alternators for some of my vehicles and some spares, in various forms of "dress":

Anytime I see anything cheap enough I buy it. I think in California you need one that works to keep the car legal
