I'll start with a title for my build thread.

1977 Dodge Aspen

was a slant 6 3 speed manual car

is receiving the K-member & 8 1/4 rear axle from a Volare Road Runner E-58

a 360 is going in there now, I blew my Road Runner's motor so I have to facilitate the build of two small blocks, more or less simultaneously.

I have a few options on rear axles/transmissions down the road (in the garage)-

I have a complete interior set

I have to swap out a windshield.

This is going to be a a fairly low budget build-might spend some money on the engine , suspension, & sound deadner, poly bushings, but mostly this has been started a long time ago buying parts for a car that doesn't have an aftermarket outside the general parts it shares with Diplomats etc.

-much more to follow, am taking a little break at work. :)

Driver side vent hole looks a little rough gonna need a bit of work to fix and the wire harness bracket needs to be reattached after new metal goes up there.

Inside the vent space forward of the windshield and aft (back-behind/under) the hood I have sanded and ground for quite awhile. I think that I am only one third complete.

Today while Rich works, I am dropping the family off in Tennessee to visit with gramma. So I have to catch up tomorrow.

All the metal that was red all over (either cleaned or Ospho'd) is now painted black with Rustolium industrial strength rattle can at $5.27 a can from Walmart-maybe four cans for the back board, 20% of the trunk, all of the ceiling, and 80-90% of the floor pans. Rich posted pics of it earlier.
