Talked to a buddy that got transferred to Hawaii for his job. Said it's about 80 degrees. Poor guy!

Related to this, we may complain about the cold winters but he hates it there (aside from the weather) and is moving back here (Wausau WI) this summer. In other words, climate is way down on the list of priorities when deciding where you want to live. I must not hate winters here too bad, moved here in 1976 when I was 12 years old (from Santa Monica CA) and have lived here ever since and have no desire to live anywhere else.

We tend to have more like 3 seasons. Seem to skip fall all the time. It'll usually go from highs in the 70's early Oct to highs in the 20's in late Oct and then not warm up decent again until April,,,,,,,,,,,or May,,,,,,,,,,or June.............Last year could have had a snowball fight on the north slope of Rib Mt. on July 4th yet and that just ain't right!
All I'm hoping for is a real summer this year. It's been too long. We've had too many non-summers recently. Something so wrong about having your furnace running, during the day, in July or August or wearing a heavy coat and hat to watch the fireworks on the 4th. That's Wisconsin I guess. Can have -30 in January and 110 in July or,,,,,,,,50 in January and 50 in July.

Bounces around up here from year to year.
Last two summer's were perfect if you're asking me. Not insane hot. Just perfect. Hoping for a hat trick this year.
Winter on the other hand has been just brutal two years in a row now.

T shirt weather today.
Mid to high 20's and maybe some light snow.
Looks to be starting just at or above freezing all week.

average this time of year is 38, it was -9 the other day. I've had more than one person, besides myself notice thinking how nice out it was when it was 15, sunny, and no wind. that's flippin' hoody weather at this point. It would be funny, if I was joking.. :eusa_doh:

Holding just below freezing....
And just to add to the magic....a load of snow coming tomorrow.

I would never hit a woman bit I gotta say I'd like to lay a good bitch slapping on Mother Nature right about now.

Ah....rain.....yes.
They just said on the radio that tomorrow's snow will be mixed with ice pellets......good times.

we're supposed to be getting snow in the morning that's turning into rain in the afternoon. I can live with that, maybe it'll wash some of this crud off the roads

The amount of salt on the roads here will take at least a weeks rain to get rid of. I think they were trying to use up all their salt budget....just insane.

Our rain is supposed to be the ice variety. Can't wait for the afternoon rush hour tomorrow. :eusa_wall:

I hear ya on the morning commute tomorrow. We're supposed to get 3-6" of snow, starting around 4am. Just enough time to get a couple inches on the ground before the rush hours (plural) start. Interstate is going to SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Slow and steady is the trick. Let the "I've got 4 wheel or all-wheel drive so I can go 80 on the snow, slush and ice" idiots slide into the catch cables in the median on their roofs! As long as they don't take someone with them, justice is served. Does that sound mean? Nah!!!!!!!!!

Nope...that sounds like justice served to me.
I see those idiots all the time. Second last big storm we had I was driving home from work and saw some woman on her phone beside her shitbox toyundai which was on a snowbank, off the road....all four wheels off the ground. Oops....took that turn a little too fast.

I never worry about me.....I've been driving in this crap for decades. It's the all wheel drive morons who thing their euro trash piece of shit is going to grab on like dry pavement. Last thing I need is some dummy slamming into me.

The worst part about these storms is not only do you have to watch your driving....you have to be ready for evasive maneuvers from the idiots.

saw a lady with a newer focus get stuck in a McDonald's parking lot, because her traction control wouldn't let her get any momentum! :icon_mrgreen: I had to slam on my brakes going in, because it was up a slight hill, and she got stuck pulling halfway in. her tires would spin for a second, the the brakes would jam on. it was the funniest dam thing I'd ever seen! "I stopped and asked her if she could turn it off, she said she didn't know how, and she was so pissed. I told her "good luck with that" wanted to ask her how that new technology was working out for her now?! ROFL!!

The problem with these new "cars for dummies" is dummies are driving them. My one wheel peel tank of a Chrysler has yet to get stuck.....mind you.....I know how to drive.

Snowmageddon here which has now changed to freezing rain.....they're going into the ditch everywhere.

Glad I'm parked for the night.

It's bad when the car is smarter than the driver

Far as I know, every car (or truck) with traction control has a way to turn it off. Trick is to know what icon or name is on the button. Some say "ESP", others "TC" or "ESC" while some have some sort of so called universal icon. Other trick is to know where the freaking button is. Crown Vics always had it hidden in the glove box (WTF?).

Got lucky, the snow storm went right around us pretty much. In the metro area got 1-2" at most. Our tire/brake/exhaust supplier driver said 20 miles to the west, east, north and south it was more like 4-6" when he was dropping parts off just after noon time. Works for me! Only have to make it though the next couple days with single digit (F) highs and then,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,30's this weekend and 40's next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Melt, melt, melt, melt! Just hearing that forecast (hope it's right) has improved my attitude and mood 100% already!

In keeping with Ma Nature's vengeful reluctance to cease the insanity.....we got about three inches of snow, then freezing ice pellets.....it's warming up over night creating a nice wet slush and then immediately after the temps will plummet freezing everything including my car doors solid.....excellent.

I probably could have helped her find it, but she had such a pissy attitude. when I rolled down my window to ask her about it, she just snapped WHAT!? at me, at that point I adopted a 'well screw you too' attitude myself, and started taking great joy in her suffering

your forecast is about the same as mine, sorry cap'n nothing's gonna bring me down now! :happy6:

I'd no doubt do the same thing.....

The only upside to all this is it IS supposed to start warming up to above freezing next week.....
