You Don't See This Everyday

Another car I had in years past that I really liked and really miss ('78 Cordoba).

I absolutely loved that car. The 360 2bbl had decent power, the car rode nice, handled great, was really quiet inside, the interior was 99% mint (seriously) the bucket seats were comfortable for 500 mile trips, the A/C blew icicles..............................Eventually the structural rust (mainly rear rails and spring mounts) got beyond any reasonable repair at the time, and that was that. :(

At THIS time, I would probably fix the rust because the rest of it was in pretty good shape rust wise.

I've always wanted one. Especially the 300 version. Such a cool looking car.

I've mentioned before.....much to my dismay there's a 76 Chargerdoba SE just down the street that has been rotting in a driveway for at least 8 years now. The guy is an idiot. I asked how much the first year I saw it and he said $10,000. The car was half lunched back then.

But I love the body style of those cars.

My first car was a white, with red interior/red half top 1977 Cordoba, 318, purchased in 1982. Only one picture was taken of the car, and that was when I got it cleaned up to take to senior prom (in 1984).

It was sold it 1986, because a college friend kept hounding me about selling car to him (who turned car from all stock, into a ghetto-mobile, with those really expensive wire wheels (back then) and lots of extra bling). I also sold it because it was starting to get some pinhole rust in quarters and trunk lid.

That bright white would get dirty, but even dirty, it still looked nice and bright (even for never waxing it).

I was advised, car was totaled about a month after selling it – but that was unconfirmed.

It's our local Canada Day parade today and our local law enforcement brought a couple of the old gals out for some fresh air. I've only ever seen these in pictures never in person so of course I had to snap some pics.

Not sure on the exact year but it's a Plymouth Caravelle Salon.

You don't see this everyday either.

Rude messages greet Ajax drivers on drive to work - 680 NEWS

Some commuters got some rather strange traffic tips earlier this week in Ajax.

Whitby Coun. Elizabeth Roy snapped photos of these “rogue” road signs, one wishing drivers a “not so nice” morning while another warned of some strong atmospheric disturbances.

Durham Region officials say someone got access to the construction sign’s controls on Westney Road and changed the message sometime during the night.

The messages were removed later that morning.

Yep, got no class, got no principles......................I'm referring to people that do things like what was done with the signs.
