Seen this for a while.
I dunno if the owner knows, but it's a certified by Chrysler-one of one.
Sunroof and console.
There were 2 T top Lebarons in the sports trim that yr.

He bought the car, then found out under the back seat was spray foam instead of steel.
So he set out welding it back together, and here it sits.

This could be a top money car in the future.

His asking price should indicate whether he knows its potential. Unique to say the least. He does sound proud of it. But he never mentions how unique it is. Never mentioned T-tops. Daddy always says they don't give a price when they're embarrassed. But if it has to go.... All them numbers and receipts he used wont amount to a hill of beans if your standing there with cash. It does indicate to me he will ask $5,000. We should start a pool

I live in Winnipeg. I’d look at this but of course I’m out of town for work right now. Home May 28. I’ve seen this car on Kijiji a few times.

Ah, I like this better. Right year, right colors, just replace wheels with factory (all five of them) and lose the shackles and there ya go... Nice.

To me, the one in the OP looks like a 5000 dollar parts car.

Rare is cool and makes for fun conversation, but it doesn't always mean valuable.

2-5 grand will net you a pretty good-to-great driver quality car which, imo, is worth a whole lot more than a one of one with a plastic console and a rusty hole in the roof.

Lot's to explain, as it doesn't just point to just one option and then the unknowns from Chrysler.
Sept 2001 was when Chrysler Historic called.

To start, that color was cut 6 months before the car was built in both the Canadian and American later brochures....and the color keyed seat belts.
Lots of oddities, lots options not listed on the data plate.

Then comes suggestions that it either was a 1978 rebadged as a 79 from the factory or it was a promotion car, hence all the touchy/feely options, but not a salon/sport or Medallion.
Maybe from the Dallas autoshow, but no pics to back it up.
