I still have the 87 Caravelle to put away.
Thursday might be the 'only' day to do it, looking at the 7 day forecast.

Guess when I say "put away for the season" it doesn't really mean anything. It's parked in the same space, in the same garage behind the house as it always is. In the other side is always either the summer DD or winter DD, while the DD being used is parked in the 1 car garage attached to the house. I either need to move or find some sort of solution to the PITA it is to get the Aspen out, not to mention the car or truck parked next to it. The back garage is 24Wx30D but there's only one 9ft door so,,,,,,,,,,if I want the Mustang or Dakota out (depending on season), I have to back whatever is in the attached garage out and put it to the side of the driveway, then back the Aspen out of the big garage, through the 1 car and put that to the side of the driveway and THEN, manuever the other vehicle out of the big garage, through the 1 car to the driveway. That's the main reason I don't put more miles on my car. It kind of takes the spur of the moment thing out of the equation to go out for an evening drive or something. Same goes for wanting to use the Dakota for something in the summer and all the screwing around I need to do just to make a run to Menard's for some lumber or whatever. Sorry for going off on a whining tangent.

You not happy with you situation that I'd be happy to have.
I have a 20' buy 34' wide that started as a 20×20.
I could easily use a 30 × 40 work shop.

Funny how when I had the garage built 21 years ago (holy crap, has it really been that long already?) and it was just an empty shell, it seemed HUGE. I swear it shrunk a bunch, it's the only explanation. I'll bet it was that 1/2" rigid insulation I put on the studs before the drywall went on. Yeah, that must be what happened. The having to go through the garage on the house to get to the front driveway is the part that got old real quick. I want to put a drive around the side of the house to connect to the front but there's something that's been keeping it from happening. You know $$$$. Maybe next summer,,,,,,,maybe. One reason I've decided to not put EFI on the car or get the rear seat reupholstered now. Put the money towards the driveway instead.

The countdown to whipping it out again has begun, 7 months and counting. Tick-tock, tick-tock. Is it May yet? lol

21 yrs ago, I had a single garage, so a double would solve my woes.
Nope!
Just more stuff car stuff.

Time to hibernate until April.
The reason I got out cruising by the water as often as I could.
Not cruising now.

Now it's absolutely official. The car season is truly over. Got to work this morning and the sides of my black truck were white. Of course they salted. I mean, we got nearly 1/4" of snow last night after all.

Well, I've already started counting down to a theoretical whip it out again day. IF we get real lucky here and get an early spring to offset the early winter, only another 20 weeks to go. If we don't get lucky, add another 3 or 4 weeks to that but hopefully no more than 24 weeks total. Hey, it's closer today than it was a month ago, right?

Dr., that is an excellent photo with the car in the foreground, the whatever body of water that is with the endless horizon in the background. Even with the SeaDoo, looks really peaceful and relaxing,,,,,,,,,,,,and warm!:)

That is Lake Erie.
The seadoo adds something to the pic.
This is almost the same pic w/o a seadoo.

In theory, it's almost time to FINALLY whip it out. Wednesday afternoon and evening we got almost 2.5" of rain and that should be sufficient to wash away any traces of salt on the roads, along with a good amount of the sand. It wasn't just rain, it was RAIN. Saturday is supposed to be sunny, dry and close to 70 degrees so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hopefully :):):):):):):):):):)

Did that months ago. All I need to do is hook up the battery and run the car duster over it and, in theory, it's all set to go.

Whipped it out for the first time this season. Felt nice to have power under my right foot again, after driving only my pooch of a Dakota for 6 months. Only went a few miles but all is well except the A/C doesn't work. I didn't need it with temps in the low 60's, just tried it to see if it worked,,,,,,,,,,,and it didn't. It's fully charged so it has to be something with the new control panel, or a connector came off while shoving it in the opening. (or some dumba$$ got the 2 single connectors backwards maybe). There's more wiring, hoses and a cable than there is space for it all to go into. Either that or the new control is faulty.

As I hoped, all that was wrong is the blue wire from the controls to the A/C pressure switch came off. Must not have had it all the way on. All is good with the universe again.
