Hi Everyone,

I think I need a bigger bumpy stick! My current sticks bumps may not be bumpy enough to give me the goodness. Has anyone got any old magnum roller cams floating around in their shed they either upgraded or downgraded too gathering dust we can do a deal on, looking for something in the 230 @50 or 280 advertised range.

Thanks
Bruce

This might be bigger then you want.

Do you need the long snout for the fuel pump? This has the long snout so it can be used either with or without mech fuel pump.

I have this that was a 23k mile core reground to match a comp roller, long snout.

This was done at a well known regrind company out of texas.

Never used and looks brand new. But id deal on it since I know shipping would suck for you.

I can post pics if your interested. Ive all the parts to put a dippy roller cam motor together but its not been high on my list so I might was well sell someof it off. I get new lifters and other roller related parts if you might need them.

... 288/294 236/254@50 .520IN .540EX 2500-6000 112...

A pretty sout cam, but why the crazy spread @ 0.050" between intake and exhaust durations? And boy, does that exhaust ramp seem aggressive or what?

You would almost think that design is anticipating an absolutely terrible flow on the exhaust side, so maybe stock manifolds? Either way, this long of a duration may bleed off a lot of pressure on the intake side...and that would require a good bump up on the CR I'm guessing.

Take a look at the attached grind spec sheet for my stroker roller build. Was going to start on this over the winter but things are moving slow here...anyways, pretty similar specs: 290/300, 240/248@0.050 and .547.544 lift on 112 LSA. Not for sale, but for comparison purposes.

Its really a good iron head cheater cam and as you pointed out without a stellar ex port or ex.

Its semi close to the 390? hp magcrate motor cam specs.

Since I have nothing that doesnt have 4:10-s or lower gears, verts or sticks. I had thought about using this cam on a mini stroker steel crank teener that would let the forged oem pistons reach a true zero deck, it actually comes out to being a 340 incher in a 318 block.

Or ive a really nice hi comp 360 sitting here thats a older block with really nice lifter bore bosses that are tall for a la block and unchamfered? like many were like nearly every la teener Ive looked at and although maybe a bit radical for a hydro roller cam, mile for a true roller lifter cam, and ive a set of old crane solid roller lifters that it all would be nice in my 360.

Most are not old enough to recall the older solid roller cams, they were on cast cores and only when they tried to get too much out of them they had to goto billet cores. Ive several new cast core solid roller cams from way back from Reed and Zorin?

But a repetitive low lift roller on a cast core with the proper springs does not worry me at all if I used it that way.
