Wondering what, in general, I would have to pay for a decent set of buckets and console/shifter for my 79 Volare??? I am in SE Tx if anyone has some for sale.

I don’t have any prices or parts to offer ya.

The console and console mounted shifter would be a 2-door option (only).

FYI, they have Bench seats, 60-40 seats and 40-40-20 seats (floor-mounted center arm rest thingy) or 40-40 seats with console.
4-doors/wagons have the first three versions mentioned above, except for consoles (from factory).

The 4-door/wagon seats will not work for a 2-door (will not fold forward to allow for rear passenger entry).

The bench seat bolt pattern (on floorpan) is different between bench seats (2 or 4-door), than the other three versions are.

If adding a console into a car that didn’t have one before, make sure to take pictures and plenty of measurements – so to get the brackets back in same location as well as shifter hole location. Having both cars side by side is extremely handy.

I don’t see why a person couldn’t install a console into a 4-door/wagon – if one wanted to.

In OY, the 60/40 seats fit work fine with the existing outboard holes from the former bench seat, and there were "dimples" in the floor pan which corresponded with the inboard studs on the 60/40 seats. I just had to drill them out. Not sure if they would be the same with the other seat combinations though.

The original bench seat holes for the passenger seat are the larger ones just to the left of the black stripe (hanging seatbelt) towards the rear of the painted rubber plugs. The smaller inboard holes that I drilled out where the "dimples" were, are seen at each corner of the raised catalytic section. Wish I knew how to insert arrows on pics!

I was mainly just trying to get an idea of what this stuff generally sells for. I will have to find the parts here in Tx Ok or La, Can't think of paying shipping!!! I could have bought a complete slant Volare here other day, but I refuse to part a car that is totally restorable, The price was right though/

It would depend on condition and who the seller is.

WELL yea, after 35 years in the hobby I know that!! LOL! I have had perfect seats given to me and bad cores I had to pay too mch for, over the years! Just trying to get an idea. If I can't change it over reasonably, I will just change it over to a 4 speed, keep the bench, as I have all the parts for that on hand.
I need seats to buy that I can pick up with a reasonable road trip.

I can buy a complete car, slant volare with pretty decent buckets and console for $1000, but the wife would KILL me if I drag home another old car, 5 here already! I have passed on several complete but rollers for $500 several times over last 2 years also. I know a project car is worth more in sum of parts than as a whole project!!! but IT wold take years here in S Tx to part out a Volare!! LOL

Do you have 60/40 seats in the car now? Mine did and I converted it to 40/40 buckets by making some brackets out of angle iron to adapt passenger seat to the driver's seat rails. Seat needed to be shift over about 2" otherwise it hits the B pillar. Only draw back to this is it puts the recline lever on the right side. Might be able to move it - never tried...

My buddy Chris Leggett has my old volare with the console shifter, I gave you his number. Offer him what you think is fair and he will sell it to you.

I have full bench. Back seat is perfect, the front has good foam, but 3 small holes. Really not bad seats.

Deconstructor Jim once shipped an entire trunk pan via greyhound bus lines for me, cheap as hell
Still trying to get a hold of him, I have shipped fenders Greyhound cheap years back, but not sure they have not gone way up on their price. I can do without the fender. He could ship the console USPS or Fed X easy enough. I will get him sooner or later. I have been watching weather forecast. I will call you on our trip your direction.

Fond some decent seats just 6 hours away! lol But I also need some parts for my Duster they have also. Interior stuff in Az I bet gets cooked worse than stuff in TX!!! I have 3 F bodies, 2 with bench, 1 with buckets, all luckily have decent enough seats for a driver. Not into show cars anyway!

some does, some holds up surprisingly well.
A pillar trim, rear 1/4 window and rear window pcs take the beating.
the softer semi pliable plastics crumble along the edges.
late 70's plastics were cheap and nasty, didnt hold up to UV.
seems to bake the binders out of it.
