    SOLD Brown Bomber. Must go...

I ended up having a guy with a really nice diplomat police package buy a number of parts from me and eventually the rest of the vehicle was scrapped.

    SOLD Brown Bomber. Must go...

Sadly, repairs got too costly and while parked trying to sell some dummy pulled a hit and run on the driver door. She's got a wobble at front right, coolant leak at the timing cover and crummy tires up front. Had a freshly converted and charged AC, new alternator, optima yellow top batt and...

    Battery Relocate

I'm starting a battery relocate project to coincide with installing powered seats in the car. Got some of the goodies in the mail today... :D I found this diagram online for integrating a Ford solenoid into a battery relocate with master cutoff switch which seems to have been designed around...

    New Seats

I glad you added this comment. I hadn't considered the implication of an always on, huge a$$ live wire running through the car. I've been doing some reading and it seems like I need to do quite a bit more planning on the wiring to do this right...

    New Seats

Thanks for the info BudW. I figured it was probably a big circuit because they wanted to be sure it could handle both seats under stallout and maybe moving in more than one plane at a time.

    New Seats

Ok, wiring complete on both seats and switches working as expected. I stopped by a metal fabrication shop today who agreed to work on the mounting system. Next step is to measure the amp draw for the seat on stall to determine the fuse rating needed. Diagram says 25 but not sure if that's for...

    New Seats

I'm thinking maybe a relay switch to deactivate all rear lighting on the vehicle. No particular reason...

Still working on the wiring, should finish tomorrow. I had to eliminate wires and ended up needing to swap connectors from the old harness back to get the recline motor working due to 4 vs 6 pin. It was relatively easy as I was able to use a pick to free the pins and click them into place on...

Got the harness! Going to be some midnight soldering in store for me...

Got the high voltage switch, waiting on the harness which should arrive tomorrow.

    Center Console

I have also been considering installing a Havis police console. They obviously don't make one for the car but it's steel so it can be fabricated to fit. I got to know them while I worked as an installer building police vehicles for about 8 months. Would be a cool place to install a CB radio...

    Center Console

I wonder if there is space under the bottom of the storage compartment so you could use a profile gauge to fit the console to the trans tunnel contour. If so, this plus some plastic paint to color match wouldn't be too bad.

    New Seats

Just finished wiring up a quick disconnect into the seat wiring harness. Stripped back the tape, solder, heat shrink, electrical tape and friction tape. Hooked her up to the bench power and she chooches. I used an alternator wire extender, lol. It was cheap, did what I wanted and had a...

    Hey, I resemble that remark!

    New Seats

It was about $1100 including freight shipping for the whole set. I felt good about this because the recaro seat I was looking at was about that much for one before shipping. I have not put them in yet but I will likely be dropping them in about two weeks from now. Looks like they should go...
