    Need carb/intake advice

The Imperials use the "police car" accessory drives with the big 100A Motorola alternator. It was standard on those two models and optional on the rest. It requires the same boss on the intake for the AC as the standard-alternator arrangement. I just uninstalled one a month or so ago as well...

    DEEP OIL PAN

It shouldn't, unless it's noted as such. However, you might want to consider adding a skid plate, a la factory Hemi/Six Pack musclecars, to the bottom of your K to protect the sump. Ground clearance will be limited to say the least.

WANTED Looking for an 8 1/4 F body or 8 3/4 B body with suregrip rear axle

A Mopar Posi?! Is it going behind a 360 Turbo-Jet/TurboHydratmatic 727 combo in an Aspen SS?!

    8.25 vs. 8.75

Slicks have little to do with it since shock loads happen regularly without them. Truth is, most guys don't have low-12-second cars (or faster) either with hard-hitting automatics or with 4-speeds they flat shift, so yeah--the 8.25" will work great for them. For the cars I'm building, an 8.25"...

You should probably post what gear ratio you want. ;)

    8.25 vs. 8.75

You have an AHB that's not a Sure Grip?! Honestly, I've never come across such a car. Are you sure the cones in the diff aren't just worn? Any Mopar Sure Grip of the Borg Warner cone-clutch design (virtually everything except the Dana from 1970 until the '90s) will just act like a 1-legger...

    8.25 vs. 8.75

I think I did by saying "all the potential problems of the 8.25"..." I certainly meant to indicate that. Literally the only C-clip axle I've neither seen fail a C-clip, nor even heard of it, is the Chrysler 9.25". They were already big when Chrysler made them even beefier during the '84 model...

    WANTED 15" road wheels/magnum 500's

Have you tried a Mustang site? Them's Ford parts. :D Just razzin' ya. Mopar never offered that style wheel in 15" though, so your best bet is probably to just bite the bullet and hit up Wheel Vintiques. They're actually not that expensive.

There has to be a way to make that arrangement work with more than the one crappy aftermarket intake that has a boss for it. I have an idea that might work, but I'm going to have to take some measurements and see if it can be done feasibly.

    8.25 vs. 8.75

All the potential problems of the 8.25" axle, with the added bonus of an appetite for pinion bearings and gearsets! Actually, it's not a bad axle design but the quality control is nothing above abysmal on the 8.8". You might get a good one, or you might end up on your roof in the ditch. If...

    8.25 vs. 8.75

OK. Now we'll talk a little about differentials: The Dana Powr-Lock clutch-pack differential is commonly just called the "clutch type". This diff is virtually indestructible, owing to its four-pinion (spider gear) design. The worst thing that happens to these are worn or (very rarely) broken...

    8.25 vs. 8.75

Uh, the casting number has very little to do with rebuildability, but you've got it backward. Sorta. It comes down to whether it's got a clutch-type differential (Dana Powr-Lok) or a cone-type (Borg Warner Anti-Spin). The Powr-Lok is rebuildable by replacing the readily-available clutches...

    8.25 vs. 8.75

I had to split my response into three sections, due to length. I'm not pickin' on ya, Billy... the board wouldn't take it all at once. It's worth mentioning that the splines changed from 27 to 29 in May of 1996, so a Sure Grip unit from an axle after that date will not fit an FMJ car...

    The FMJ Weather Channel

We got snow, but it's hard to measure the amount since it moves away when the wind gusts. An eighth of an inch would be stretching it. When that storm system hits, I should post a link to a weather radar for this area. Most likely, it'll be the usual. It's as if Moses is standing 3-5 miles...

WANTED Looking for an 8 1/4 F body or 8 3/4 B body with suregrip rear axle

You're talking about a potentially vast price gap. You might want to post a price range you're willing to pay for one or the other, as well as what gear you want (or should I say what you'd consider). A B-body 8.75" with a 3.55 Sure Grip could be a very pricey proposition. Remember, if you...

    Need carb/intake advice

You can use the adapter upside-down with no problem. You will probably want to double-check your throttle cable travel and readjust your kickdown linkage so it's all the way back with the throttle wide open, but I don't foresee any issues with the extra height. The last time I used one was on...

Yeah, that would be best known as "back to our typical weather" or "how it's going to be for the next few months." We got a break for a long time, man, but break's over. Back to our regularly-scheduled frozen misery, right after a quick word from our holidays. :(
