    Shifter linkage bushings...

Hey guys: Does anyone have a part number or source for the nylon bushings that reside on either end of the "relay rod" assembly on an auto trans M-body? To refresh, this is the part that one end sits in a small bracket bolted to the side of the trans and the other end sits in a small bracket...

The 318 with 340 heads debate.

My '73 Dart Sport had a fresh '70 318 topped with X heads, 340 intake and exhaust manifolds and an unknown cam...and it was a dog. It might have been more enjoyable with a steeper gear, but it felt about like the stock 318 in the '74 Valiant I had before it. Check it out...action starts at 5:00:

    Electric radiator fans?

People get hung up on the idea that they have stumbled upon an untapped reservoir of free horsepower when they do these electric fan conversions. The FACT remains that clutch driven fans essentially consume negligible horsepower when disengaged, which is most of the time. Electric fans can draw...

Are FMJ cars really selling for these inflated prices?

That's good news then. I'll sit on mine until I can ask 5k for it with a straight face. I don't know what people do when they sink 8k in a car the insurance company values at 3k. Normal insurance providers are increasingly declining to offer full-coverage for classic cars in my experience, so...

SOLD 1987 Plymouth Gran Fury, plain white wrapper

When I bought it, I thought it had vinyl upholstery...that's how good the covers are. I don't know if it was some kind of fleet vehicle....it's got VIN stickers all over inside the doors and trunk and hood.

No. I doubt this will get much interest, so I likely have plenty of time to deal with it.

Are FMJ cars really selling for these inflated prices?

So, this isn't a call anyone out thread....I'm just curious. I've been surfing the classified ads here, and just wonder if anyone actually sells for what they post? I know we live in a world now where selling our heritage back to us is big bucks, but I've been buying, fixing and selling old...

SOLD 1987 Plymouth Gran Fury, plain white wrapper

Hey all: As I have become more involved with the Mopar scene, I have decided to limit my focus to pre-'70 vehicles, so I have decided to put my '87 up for sale. This is a Salon, with A/C, cruise, and no other options I am aware of. It is not and never was an AHB. The original velour is...

S.A.T.C actuator...where the heck is it?

Hey guys; My Gran fury appears to have suffered an SATC failure, probably the actuator. My senior citizen friend has expressed interest in buying the car from me, so I have to fix it. How in the world do you get to it? I have the FSM in front of me and see where it SHOULD be, but there is...

Manual window glass is loose...how to fix?

Hey guys: My '87 Fury has manual windows. The two front windows roll up and down fairly smoothly until the last couple of inches near the top, then they try to bind in the track. The reason they are doing that is that the window glass on each side has excessively fore and aft movement...you...

    2bbl carb base gaskets...which one?

Thanks everyone. I actually found a parts list for '84 Dodge trucks posted online and it indeed shows a thick insulator. I have several on hand, so I am good there.

    2bbl carb base gaskets...which one?

Hey guys: Each time I obtain a 2280/BBD kit, there are 3 base gaskets- 1 thin 2-hole type, 1 thin open type and one thick open type. Which came factory original on a 318? As you know, the distance of the carb above the intake ends up affecting the choke adjustment, and the trans rod...

Anybody seen the video of a Fifth Avenue running away from a Trooper?

It happened. First, let me clarify that I DO NOT condone this type of activity. It put many lives at risk. However, I will say that the dude drove the crap out of that Fifth Avenue, esp for it being a non-Police M-body. In my estimation he was a better driver than the cop.

Loose tilt wheel -- I think

I did this repair on my '87 Gran Fury about a year ago. It's not a really hard job, but you need a few special tools. This problem happens because that's a Saginaw column, same as many GM's use and they all do it as well. I thought I did a video on it but looks like I didn't. The tools you need...

All-original 98K Gran Fury, boy does this suspension need help...

Hey guys: Last year I bought an all-original '87 GF, and although I haven't put a lot of miles on it, I discovered right away this is one poor-handling car. The steering is slow, and loose, it bounds over bumps and the rear-end does this weird oscillation when you hit a dip in a curve. The...

Gonna put a 4bbl on the '87 Gran Fury, how about the linkage?

Hey guys: New member here, although I have been around on the A-body forum a long time, and more recently on the C-forum. You may have seen me on Youtube. Anyway, I've had a clean, solid '87 GF for about a year that, although it's a civilian, looks like a plain white wrapper, lol. It's the...
