Happy with the way my car ran this year after a complete overhaul/upgrade on my 904 trans. Called SMR transmissions and bought everything from Pat and the trans is so sharp and leaves the line great with 1.44-1.46 60' times. This winter I don't have to do any upgrades or anything but strip it down and send it in for paint and new stripes. I've owned the car since April 2000
Original colour would be Russet Sunfire PR8 but I'm going to go with the R8 Vintage Red with Orange/Yellow Stripes

Good looking leave, my Volare runs just a bit quicker 60’s 1.39 to 1.45s depending on the track. I’m thinking about a rear sway bar for mine to level out the hit.

I've heard that a rear sway bar will help and I'm thinking about it as well

I see the SMR reference (Pat helped me with parts selection for the very first 727 rebuild of mine...that was years ago, great shop, hopefully they have stayed true to what they were known for back then) along with the Toronto Cayuga race track logos...where abouts are you?

I ask because I am thinking of re-painting my coupe...so looking for a recommendation as to a shop that can do the level of work we expect to see.

Only made it out once this year with my 79 N/SA 318 4 bbl. Aspen. Planning to upgrade the front brakes due to too much drag. Will also be replacing the "off the shelf" headers with custom made stainless steel headers. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thanks for looking .
