This quarter had some serious damage when I first started. I made patches to replace the mangled sheet metal, and now skimming with fibreglass reinforced filler

Doing body work in 40 degree weather sucks....

Funny how mid 40s feel warm when block sanding. I got the bottom half of the driver's door done and the bottom of the quarter panel. The trunk lid is coming along also.

This is the kind of stuff that is so far beyond my skillset it isn't even funny. Nice work. Really enjoying following your work.

Block sanding is pretty easy to learn, doing the filler takes a lot of trial and error to do well. Both require plenty of masking tape to help keep body lines straight.

Fuel tank is out for some floor mods, and a different sending unit.

1/8 inch landau foam makes it a bit better, but still a little lumpy

Having done the headliner myself a few times, I can tell you it will look perfect whence installed. You won't notice small wrinkles at all, especially "up there."

Yep, they were badly discolored, had to redye them to make them look good

I have a basic question about your work setup.

How did you get the car setting up all the way around?
It looks like you have jackstands in the rear and I can't tell in the front.

I've only been brave enough to put the front up on my oil changing ramps.
I've jacked up the rear but only one side while I worked on the starter.

There is a way to put 4 jackstands on it and not worry about it falling?

I worry about working under vehicles (primary caregiver for my husband) because I really don't want anything to trap or pin me under the vehicle. Same goes for tractors and when I work on them.

But if I could safely get my car up, I could clean the oil and dirt off the fiddly bits.
