81 DIPLOMAT WEARING 80 ASPEN FRONT END

I thought someone posed, on this site, an idea that the front hood fender and grille from a 1980 Aspen would fit a 1981 Diplomat. Doable?

You'd need the fiberglass header panel off the Aspen, but yeah, 80 Aspen front clip should fit on an 81 Diplomat.

What's a fiberglass header? Is that the composite filler that attaches to the front of each fender where the headlights are housed?

No it's the nose part that attaches to the fenders the grille and lights are in.

"Grille closure panel" I've always called them header panels

in Mexico they used to come from the factory like that. perhaps you could talk to user "MexicoSpec"

Basically it’s just a headlight mounts the grill attached to them also. The bumper filler is below the grill and headlights. I believe the fenders are the same between the two cars but the hood is different and there are fender extensions.
