You can build a 500 hp + small block or a 600 hp + big block with these books using your iron heads, stock rods and crank.
The Engine book will reference cams you might be able to locate on eBay but cam companies all have at least one guy that can help you find something that works similarly or better than the ones mopar listed.

I have two 440s that I build back in the eighties and one is a low compression 9.5 60 over that makes 525hp and 545tq. I’ve not been easy on this engine it was in my Fbody for three years when I was racing every weekend and street driving it as much as I could. I followed the book and it worked well. I have another one that is 645 hp and 620tq both of them have the smallest cams in them they have ever seen.

Chassis book works well also, it got me into the tens,
