Probably not.
If you're running a 2.45-1.45-1.00 trans with a low stall you're in for a surprise. If you shift into second at 5200, the Rs fall to 1.45 /2.45 x 5200 =3070. Your engine got power down there? Not much. With 3.21s and 26s this is about 49mph. So if you're in a hurry you'll have to wait to get back on the power band, to maybe 3980/63 mph.... that's gonna suck.
The usual way around this is keep it in gear about a thousand rpm after the power peak, or until the outgoing power is about the same as the incoming power. So I'ma guessing you'd want to shift at 6000 to drop in at 3540. This would happen at about 56mph. You might as well just leave it in first until 60, and stuff it in D,lol. 3.21s suck.
But if that cam is really a 209* @.050, maybe a 252advertised, then yeah she'll be done pretty early. The factory 360 2bbl cam was a 252.* But not with .496 lift! Anyway, I'm guessing that will peak around 4900, so the shift might be as early as 5900.You'll have to run some shift loops and find the best fit. Don't get caught speeding, lol.
