C bodies are big, take big engines to make them do anything, but the J body is about as big as an A body and we all know what an A body could do with a 340 in it :) Still I love the C's I like the 1966 300 body car like this one

I've only owned 2 c-bodies. First was a '71 Monaco 4dr hardtop (383 4V) from about 1983-1985 and the other a '65 Sport Fury 'vert with a 383 and factory 4 speed from maybe 1987-1992(?). No pics of the Monaco that I'm aware of and only a couple really bad ones of the Fury.

Looks like a road warrior.

LOL, I was working on it for paint.
Back when I was in the tech college here ('83-'84) one of the guys had a '72 Newport 2 dr. That was the coolest car........Had a perfect rake, the "big car" rallye wheels and was what I'd guess was B5 blue with a white vinyl top and white interior and,,,,,,it was MINT. I'm sure it had been repainted because the paint was like glass and the sheetmetal was dead nuts straight, not a ripple or wave anywhere, even on those mile long 1/4's and they didn't come from the factory like that.

Paid $500 for the Sport Fury and started into rebuilding it but it became obvious I just couldn't come close to affording to do it and do it right. Plus at that time there was zero repro parts for these cars and it was pre-internet so finding NOS or good used parts was about impossible. Probably just like where your at, any similar cars that were in scrap yards were long gone already. Did find a couple things at Iola (huge 3 day show/swap meet every July about 60 miles from here) but that's about it. Funnily enough, in the end I sold it back to the same guy I bought it from for $500. Sigh...................................
