I had a few Mopars over the years. All A bodies. I just bought a d100 with a fmj clip installed. I am not familiar with them . I need advice on how to rebuild front suspension and where to get parts.

Welcome aboard! Post lots of pics. Fortunately, the suspension parts, unlike a lot of other FMJ parts, are still available. What are you looking for?

I don't know yet. it's scary to drive, it wanders.,. I've only had it two days. I have to get under it and check.
 
Can anyone tell me how do identify which model car my front suspension came from? I want to order a rebuild kit.
 
Not sure if there is a part number stamped on the K frame or not. At one time that was a popular swap for trucks, 80s, 90s.

My K has the year stamped on the bottom front lip. To be honest though it's all the same stuff from 78 to 89. Give Firm Feel a call and talk to Dick. They make almost everything for these cars primarily for front clip swaps like yours.

Thanks for the info. It's much appreciated. I ran in to a problem though. When I got the truck, the passenger side was higher than the drivers side. I cranked the adjustment bolt for the drivers side, clockwise, but it didn't go up. (I realize they are on opposite sides) I was able to even out the front, by lowering the passenger side, but could not raise the drivers side. Any idea what the problem is? I would like to raise the front a little if possible.

What kind of shape is the wrag joint in ? If that goes, well, you know.
 
I have a 87 Chrysler and am relatively new to the frame world.

What is a wrag joint?
Would I have one on my car and how would I check it?

Hi.
A wrag joint is the break or joint between the steering column and the steering gear. Usually a disc from each piece with a rubber cushion in between, maybe a half inch thick, much like tire rubber. Guess it's an ingenious invention as it allows movement or shock absorbtion between the cabin mounted steering column and the k member mounted steering gear.

My steering seems to be fine right now, so I'll just say thank you for the info and keep it in mind for another day.

Your welcome, of course.

Power steering will hide alot of ills but on manual steering the experience is similar to continuous movement of the steering wheel left and right to keep the vehicle centered. You've noticed the fake movie scenes of someone driving, constantly moving the steering wheel left and right, how can that be ?
 
I'm running to a local yard this week. Last time I was there they had a Fifth Avenue. If it's still there I'll pull one for you.
