So I saw this on another board and the poster is in Ontario.

There was somebody on here a few weeks ago looking for one but I can't find the post anywhere. Not sure if it was in General or Q&A.

IIRC he was from Newfoundland and was told by a glass dealer that there were no new ones available. He found a used one in Windsor Ont but was having trouble with shipping.

Anyway I was chatting with my local glass guy and it took him 5 minutes to source a new one. $350ish Cdn. installed and I could have had it tomorrow.

He told me the NAGS number is DW 930 if anyone knows the guy or needs to find one. Fits all 80-83 J-bodies

He found one at National Moparts and they were going to ship it out to him but never posted on whether he got it or not.

That was me yeah, they got the windshield pulled last week and are supposed to be shipping it out monday. UPS won't insure used glass so here's hoping it makes it in one piece.

Did anyone try to get one using this number?
I need another one. I'm so pissed right now but the one I got from Moparts made it here fine, and I had it stored in it's box in my hallway for a couple of weeks. Well today I take it out to scrape the old urethane off it and I see the whole corner is shattered. Someone or something must have hit the box while it was here. Now i'm back to square one and 400 bones down the drain.

can someone tell me where you get them from, I would like to know for reference if I ever need one. Its a bit like this, if get a broken windshield and the insurance company can't locate one more then likely they will want to write me a check for the car and get rid of it, but if I can supply them the info they will be obligated to get one to NZ.

I’m surprised we hadn’t gotten the technology yet, where we can repair glass, much like we can repair metal or plastic today. Yes I know that glass is nothing like metal or plastic – but just saying.

We can repair rock chips now, something we couldn’t do just a few years ago.

On a different note: I think it is amazing on how glass is made to begin with (melted sand).

Open phone book, look for auto glass chains and give them the Nags number.
Or use the internet 411 look up.

I tried dw 930 at 2 different glass places in town, there's also another number dw 913. I was told neither are available anywhere in Canada. Maybe your guy looked up the number but didn't check to see if it was available or not?
Either way, I managed to get another used one. Hopefully this one goes better

If anyone is interested here's a few pics.
Since I don't have a garage, I've been keeping the car in a container since it was painted in January. I roll it out now and then to do some work on it. When I get the glass in finally I'll bring it home and get it back on the road as soon as I can.

    Buck -
what an great idea. I never thought of a storage container.
Do you hang dessicant in it to keep the humidity down?

So you roll it in and out or do you back it in and wiggle your way out of the door and container?

Windshields for some of our cars (Cordoba) seems to be a big problem! There are places that make custom windshields, we use to have one in NZ many years ago but long gone, they must still be in the USA, much bigger market than NZ. I dunno how you make one, maybe they just cad scan it, if 10 or so of us got together would it make it viable to approach someone to have them made? Even if there were someone who was say a little better off than the rest of us who maybe able to buy a few and store them and on sell to help forum members out?? An idea???

Yeah, I had 3 trays of silica beads in the container over the winter. The few times I checked it was dry in there.
There's no motor/trans in the car right now so I have to push it in and out. I can pull it out by myself easy but it takes 2 people to get it back in. With the car over to one side you could probably squeeze in and out of the door but it wouldn't be easy
