I will periodically disappear from the forum due to other obligations and stuff, as most of us do from time to time, but I've noticed that several members have seemingly disappeared completely. Among some others, two very prominent members have notably been absent now for a long time. One is Captain Caravelle who last posted on March 14, 2018. Another is F body Deconstructor Jim, who last posted on October 6, 2017. I sincerely hope they are both OK. Does anyone know their whereabouts?

I understand the temporary disappearance. Did it myself this year. Life and such gets to be very large.
I don't know about Jim, but Captain Caravelle posted a bit over on the Dippy Forum. He is alive, working 2 jobs now and has a serious time crunch on his hands handling bills/payments. Changes in his homelife I believe.
I miss him too...

Life catches you at times. Work has been an albatross. More & more with less time. Got hit with death of my wife's sister, so I'm seriously looking at things differently. I'm backing off a lot of the crazy stuff I used to do. No more hanging all day @ Gators. No more sneaking off to Carlisle. No more juvenile stuff. Spending lots of time hanging with my wife. Spending a lot more time with my kids. Perspective has been dealt. I just took my 79 out for a blast and I may actually put it in storage. Planning a junk'n day on Veterans Day and that is really just to say high to the yard owners who we have not seen in 8 months. It is depressing, but seriously making life changes.

Thanks JW. I'm very glad to hear Ed is at least OK. I do remember him posting about some family stressors. I miss him too. He was one of the most dedicated posters and fanatics of F,M,J's that I can think of. I had bought a power steering bracket off of Jim not long before he disappeared. He didn't say anything to suggest that there was any problem, but you never know. Hope he's OK.

I am too. I have been coping with aging relatives, breaking up their homes, and dealing with their age related medical issues now for approximately the past 10+ years. My last remaining aunt turned 106 this past June. It makes me quite aware of my own aging. That, plus the fact that I work in the health field with geriatrics full time, which I used to enjoy, but now find more taxing as I approach retirement. I think I caught "old age" from working there.

It's funny how you spend all this time collecting parts, then one day you wonder where all this junk came from.

I'm happy to hear that Jim is alive and well, even if he isn't posting here anymore. He is a very good source of F parts and very fair and easy to deal with.

What a very thoughtful thread this is Old Yellow 78! Thanks for starting it! We can all help to keep tabs on our Unique Car loving buddies and long distance friends.

From what I've heard, people can't get a hold of him through his web site, email or by phone so I wonder what happened.

Dr Lebaron (wink wink).... If only I had a really nice green LeBaron to cart your extra parts away with....
lol

(wait.... does that mean I have to drive into the frozen tundra?? uh oh)

The Captain's wit is sure missed by me. Hope all is well with every member here.
JW are you sure you can't send cookies through this site yet ??? I mean chocolate chip !

You know Master M... if only I had an address to send them to.
I have chocolate chips in there calling your name.

I miss Captain Caravelle, am glad Billy posts so much on Facebook
Ed "The Captain" is the master of sarcasm, insults with humor. I shot snot out my nose when I watched his PSA on the drive through at Tim Horton's. I sort of lost my edginess and some of my nerve. I'm hoping the members return with all the unique personalities and their mopars. Working with Gator and some local unique characters, we will put more of the FMJ mopars on the map with stories, videos, photos and other fun and games. We are retooling Gator's Mopar Swamp Garage. Not just a shop, not just parts, not just some cool teeshirts. Stick around this page and Gator's Facebook page to find out what goofy ass stuff we unleash on the world of mopar'n

I'll never look at a pair of boots or coat the same. No human was hurt. Christmas Blessings come in all shapes and sizes. Gone, but hopefully not forgotten. Like MacArthur, I will return.

Glad to hear man. When you get to figuring things out and get time for mopar'n...... parts and stuff , just ask. I got some spare things.
I got a queen bedroom set, queen bed and box spring and frame and some other household stuff, if you want. 4 person kitchen table and chairs too. We get someone with a decent truck to get it from Jersey perhaps
