Where can I get solid motor mounts for my 76 volare
You can get race polyurethane ones at....Where can I get solid motor mounts for my 76 volare
You can get the polyurethane ones and torque strap both a Schumacher Creative...also tranny mount..Solid motor mounts? Seems to me you might be able to make 'em on the cheap. Or run urethane and build a torque strap for it.
Just make sure you shim up any spaces between the width of the modified mounts and engine mount cradles, or you'll be replacing tranny mounts or tailshafts. AND DON'T ASK ME HOW I KNOW!!!:icon_wink:

You have to drill holes...the f-body k-frame is a strange animal...I just looked at mine since it's out of the car and it would take some thinking about it but it could be done...main thing is there it not a flat place to bolt it near the motor mount...you may have to weld a flat piece of steel to mount it to..Not sure how there torque strap mounts up to the bigger F/J/M k-frames. I saw what you're posting about, Eric. One of the pages says for A,B,F,M,J-bodies while if you click on the torque straps themselves they only list 'em for the A, B, & E. Even the installation guide shows only the A, B, & E's, with just a little disclaimer which says "all other years, holes must be drilled." Does that mean that you have to drill holes for the earlier A's and B's? Or does that mean for the F/M/J's, too? I don't know. I think before I bought one I'd have to make a phone call to see if it's designed to be a direct bolt in. Failing that I guess you could always just use the torque strap itself and fab up a new bracket, if the situation called for it.
Got me a set of factory mounts and got them welded up solid. Thanks everyone for the help..
