$200 Airgap knock off to throw on the 5.9 Magnum I have in the garage. Machined finish on mating surfaces looks real nice, plenum casting needs to be cleaned up with a die grinder (for my own ocd) but still very usable as is.
Should workout just fine for a quick budget friendly swap.
Assault Racing:American supplied Chinese parts.

Let me know how you like it. I got a Professional Performance(?) Air gap and hadn't put it on yet.

Will do. Looks nice for the cost. Has holes to mount to both LA and Magnum heads. Came with all the plugs and everything to fill the holes not being used.
Now they only have the polished version available and I’d imagine at a limited quantity...in case anyone is interested.

My mind is telling me, no; but my body, my body is telling me, yes.
1966 Mustang body swapped on to a complete, Datsun 280zx chassis.
Supposedly done “correctly” by a body shop in Wisconsin a couple decades ago.

It...it...looks like shit. They took a Mustang and dropped it onto a POS Datsun?? As if that wasn't bad enough, they left a grungy motor bay in it.

I'm no purist, but these guys need to be drawn and quartered.

If it had a EBay turbo in it, they’d want $10k, lol.

I know the guy who owns this car - he is a member of my car club. This car is currently in Oklahoma City area.

If I remember correctly, the previous owner took parts from a badly rusted out Road Runner and transferred the 383/727 power-train and hood over. This owner got the car in a trade - and it might be available for sale if someone is looking for one.

This is on the freeway about 6 miles north of my house. Hard to tell but, it's very steep for over a mile there. North is climbing out of the valley. south dropping into it. We got a freak snowstorm AND 40-60 mph winds, which caused the freeways to ice over. Think the pic is from about 5pm and both directions are still closed and the gates are down on the on ramps. Right now traffic is backed up at least 4 miles in each direction. Due to the terrain in that area, there isn't really any "alternative route". It's all rock, cliffs, and crags. Building a road, or anything else takes lots of blasting. Back in the early '80's I worked north of the city and remember many nights in winter being white knuckle the whole way to the bottom on the way home. Longest mile you'll ever go. lol. In this case, driving according to conditions may not help you in that situation. Home is an excellent place to be tonight!

I conflated two cars.
One is a resto mod Coronet wagon.
The other was a Challenger/Vista Cruiser; resto mod. Still applies I suppose.

Interesting. It’s for sale near me. The guy is trying to justify his price for its collectibility, I’m trying to knock him down due to the non numbers matching small block and trans swap done to the car (originally a 400, 727 and the heavy body work it will need done to make it nice again.
For what he’s asking I could pick up a half decent 68 Newport with #s matching 383, or a 70 Ruster; I’m mean Duster.

My wife likes none of these ideas.

For the two door near you, how heavy is the "heavy bodywork"? Is it frame/unibody bent due to rust or accident, or is it just rust repair for appearance only? The picture you posted doesn't look too bad, but I bet there is a lot more damage to be seen up close. As well, is all the exterior trim there, and what does the interior look like?

I would just point out to him that the collectibilty factor is close to zero, when the engine and transmission are not numbers matching, and that this isn't a Hemi 'Cuda convertible. The side pipes don't help collectibilbity in any way, either.
