There’s an almost disturbing amount of people who think these cars are worth a stupid amount of money all of a sudden. Guys with cars that are rusted out with mismatched fenders think they’re sitting on goldmines.

And here I paid $1,500 for The Cherry Bomb not wrecked, not mention $800. for the factory sunroof '87 SE also not wrecked (just kinda rusty in spots not seriously though) right before that, $1,200. for an '82 Fifth Avenue a few years before that also not wrecked (though the entire right side had been repainted at some point) and my first '87 Fifth Ave in highschool a year before that which I got for free...not wrecked either, I'm starting to think I stole all these cars

People on Facebook want A Body prices for these cars. There was a factory 340 car out by me that went for 2 grand. Sure, it needed work, but it was a steal at 2k. I posted it on the A Body forum and sure enough, someone several states away bought it all the extra parts that came with it.

So when these jokers want daily driver 2 door A Body prices for a 4 door car with an anemic 318, they're out of their damn minds.

People are confusing rare with valuable. Just because something is rare, it doesn't make it valuable. If anyone collects antiques or anything, you know exactly what I mean.

thats an AHB. has the 125 speedo and Oil Gauge. actually not an awful price. might be able to haggle him down to 1500. see if he kept the factory cop rims
It’s an awful price for a wrecked car that they don’t make body parts for. Buy another car to put it together? Doing or paying for professional body work that’s 10xs the value of the car? It doesn’t matter if it’s an AHB once they get wrecked.

There's a guy in California with a field full of AHBs with nice header panels and he can't get rid of them.

If someone is selling a car with a smashed header panel, it knocks at least a grand off the price, because you have to consider the time and resources it takes to get another one. Then it probably won't match and you'll have to paint the whole car. That's at least another grand knocked off for a bad scratch and shoot (less if you redneck roller it)

“ She was living in a single room with three other individuals.
One of them was male and the other two well, the other two were females. God only knows what they were up to in there; And furthermore, Susan, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to learn that all four of them habitually smoked marijuana cigarettes…Reefers. “
