It's easier, less $$$ to make a 5.0 mustang run 9s or even 8s than a BB Mopar.
I've seen stock short blocks run low 9 high 8s with turbos.

I'm not sure if that meme was for the old 5.0 pushrod engine or the new 5.0's. I drove a 2014 Mustang GT 5.0, 6-speed manual at work a few weeks ago on a post repair road test (car totally stock)and,,,,,,,,,,holy crap! Still, nothing like the sound of a big block Mopar!
