My estate planner attorney is on the 8th floor of s building downtown. Because of the terrain, the back of building you're the equivelent of about 12 stories up. Nice view of the white water kayak course, a park, the bridges across the river and over to the near west side, etc. However, even from behind the glass, I still get vertigo if I look down.
No idea why but I've been terrified of heights long as I can remember. Most uneasy I ever felt was looking out of the World Trade Center, before the losers flew planes into them, on (IIRC) the 98th floor. Made it worse because I could sense the building slowly swaying from the wind. YIKES!
Thought I recognized the Sears Tower, or whatever it's called now.
