There was a disease killing off a ton of the young pigs. So that's why it's so high and not very good. Working on foodservice, you hear these things. We've been dealing with junk bacon for months, only occasionally do we get some good stuff.

I'm a bacon snob....
I only buy it from the butcher.
And I'm planning overnight's at my trailer so I can load up at the butcher up north.
You've never had bacon like this.....it's worth the six hour total drive time.
