OK so tail light panel... this is gonna be tricky it would really really suck to weld this in crooked I am going to have to get the trunk alighned and set it perfect then take a caulk line or something and snap a line across it to make sure it is square....posting pics when I figure it out

Thanks Captain! Ok so its raining it but off today so not much was possible on either car I was able to push the Blackbird back far enough to finish patching the trunk. Got it soaking in OSPHO and tarped up so the rain doesn't wash it away. tomorrow hopefully will be dry because I need to finish greymousers quarter panel I was working on and grind all the porcipine quills from the bottom of the trunk pan.

Side note greymouser has 2 new gas tanks which I was able to compare to the tank on my car and it is an exact match. So the old tank will be going bye bye.

I was able to mock up the tail panel and there is still a bit more trimming to allow the tail lights to fit in but the more I work at it the more it lines up perfect. I am not having the fear of a crooked tail panel anymore. I am just going to tack it in all around before laying a good bead. so that if it doesn't line up I just have to break a spot weld to adjust.

its only spot welded in still haven't committed to this alignment. in person it looks good to me but his picture because it is angled a slight bit more to the passenger side makes it look crooked
