Second Chance at a MOPAR the "BlackBird" build

The more I put back into the car the more room I have in the garage....

The tree in my yard looked like a MOPAR Christmas tree with all the painted parts hangin off it. I like the orange also but it wasnt by choice it was what we had. I do think it turned out well. Amazing what a little paint can do for some old parts

I should have my hood ready to paint sometime tomorrow and then I can put the hood back on my car. The hood is taking ALOT of space. As soon as I get it on the car and empty the parts bins I can begin doing the same thing to greymouser7's Aspen. It takes working 12+ hours everyday for 1 man to get things done this fast. Its a race with the clock on this one.
 
Got the intake/exhaust manifold ready to bolt on. I cant wait to see what it looks like with the super six air cleaner on... calling it a night. :sleepy2:
 
First coat of primer is rust inhibiting primer sealer its raining so I have to let the full amount of dry time. :coffee:

Good Job. That looks really nice and is one of the cleanest builds I have ever seen. Amazing what a little elbow grease can really do and you have done it my friend. Awesome is all I can say.:icon_thumright:

There's nothing cooler then seeing something brought back to life. Thank you both for sharing your build with all of us and the pictures. Yeah the more I see that orange I half to agree with Captain that orange really sets it off nicely plus it is something different then the standard blue you always see.

Hey thanks guys..gonna be taking a bit of a break on my car..we are starting another build thread for greymouser7's Aspen. I have to get his dash and heater box removed to repair the vent galley on his car as well as mine. I am waiting on money to come in so I can order the slave cylinder for my clutch. I decided to go with the parts from JEGS and they have free shipping. once the vent galley is fixed on our cars the floor boards will get the treatment and then the dash and interior pieces can go back in...so its like all that is waiting on one thing....VENT GALLEY REPAIR time!!!!

OMG I found the Mexican blankets I am using for rear seat covers. The Hess Station here has them 2 for 12.99!!! YES!!!:toothy9:
 
lol I was actually thinking of shag carpet for the floor and suede headliner... I think its the west coast in me. I'm from San Diego. :icon_rr:
 
Had a bit of a snag today when I went to install the power steering pump.. the crank pulley is only two groove and the original engine had AC so it was a three groove...I should have took pics because I used a long piece of rope to hold the crank still by tying it to the torsion bar and a pole from a chain link fence as a breaker bar... lol looked hilarious but I was able to swap the third pulley from the old engine to the new. also cut hoses for the breather, PCV, installed the fuel hose and the drive belts...Those were the last things in the bin that I am using for greymousers dash pieces
