Should be about 6" from hole to mounting surface for a Fbody.

These are for 22" front segment springs, I believe SS springs are 55.5" long with a 22" front.

I have SS on my Volare with no problems I used offset hangers also. With a pie cut in the front I get a 30×10.5 slick inside the wheelhouse.

One thing I did with the hangers being so long is I ran a bar from the cage to the top of the hanger for support, the hanger bolts to the cage.

F Body Deconstructor Jim – Your hangers may or might not fit for his application. One detail that is important is the ’68-70 Dodge B-body is 1” different length than the Plymouth B-body is, in that time frame. The Springs are the same, but the hangers are “brand specific”.

The propeller shaft is also 1” different length between Dodge and Plymouth B-bodies, as well.

In my garage is a pair of well used 440/Hemi leaf springs (one is 5-leaf and other is 4 with two ½ leaf’s). One is ’68 and other is ’69. I have been “pondering” installing those into my F/M bodies – but got to find something to use as a spring hanger to make ‘em fit. I hadn’t even checked to see if my springs are Dodge or Plymouth (or one set each) – even though I removed them myself many many years ago.

I know this is not the same as using the SS (Super Stock) springs, for they are a different length, but I still got the same problem with hanger length.

Would it be feasible to swap the OEM F/M/J main leaf or a custom main leaf onto the SS set? That way you could stay with the original hangers or original spec replacement hangers with an extra adjustment hole.

That's what the stock class guys did back before they changed the rules.

The thing about the Fbody spring is the front segment and the oval spring eye. Neither is a good thing for performance. A Bbody would work but why go through the same work as using the SS springs in the first place. If I was starting again I'd use Calvert split mono leaf and there Caltrack system, I've got this for my Ford.

You could get a main leaf made without the oval front eye. The springs in my car came from Eaton Detroit Spring and were made with a round eye. Just FYI for what it's worth.

If you are going to get a leaf spring made, make sure to request a round front bushing! The oval bushing is only made for ride softness and does nothing for performance, for braking or for better handling over bumps.
I would assume it would be cheaper to build a spring with a round bushing hole over an oval hole – but have no information to verify.

If you get into AREs web page they have a large variation of hangers so you should be able to put most any combos together.

I’ve been to ARE's website many times. An important detail missing (from website) is distance from front of spring hanger to center of bolt hole.

I know Chrysler has different bolt patterns for those front spring hangers.
A-body is different and possibly C-body is different (I can’t remember all the details, exactly).
Some spring mounts can be swapped upside down as well as Left to Right, where other versions will only go one way (Left and right) in one direction only.

This is one of things I should have kept notes on (back in the day), for now I can’t remember . . .

Look at the spring plates at the bottom of the page for an idea of what works. A body / E body
    B body is alone
Also the old DC chassis book has spring lengths with center placement.

Interesting perch kit, but it looks to be for a truck application with springs on top of the axle housing. No provisions for a shock mounting plate or conventional U-bolts.

Even if it could be flipped & somehow modified further, there are lots of factors to consider when you start mixing parts around, including the back length of the leaf springs, proper final shackle angle & tire-to-fender clearance.

You can't use conventional U bolts if you're adjusting axle location on springs.
And yes it says it's for 4x4.
