Same paper on an angle so the light catches it.

From being a armchair quarterback it looks like there is too much silver on it as you cannot see the black. Try heating the spray can up and shaking it until the ...nevermind. Heating should make the paint thinner as i know it is cold way up north. Do you think it will be better to put a coat of clear over it? But what do i know

I did it in the shop so the temp was good.
Let the can warm up first too.
Apparently clear will dull it.

Lets get a paint gun then. I've got the compressor in the garage. Soon as I can open the door I'll fire it up.

Capt,
Go to that link Read the instructions they gave. Easy enough to try and may make it better. The stuff is expensive.

Thanks...
I'm very intrigued by their stuff too.
Like Eastyorker said..he's got a gun and compressor
Gonna try Alclad's good stuff and see.
I've got a feeling that the stuff I bought is the "hobby" version
It sprays silver.
I'm going to try the real deal and see.
I refuse to give up on this.
There has to be something out there that we can use.
If the good version of the Alclad stuff doesn't do it
I'm gonna try the Alsa.

Thanks for this thread. I keep hoping for a good chrome paint. I've got plastic parts that need to be re plated, but all of the companies that do it are in the US, and shipping makes it too complicated.

Yeah,I saw that.
That's for the Alsa killer chrome though
The Alclad just says to go over the gloss black.
That's why I'm gonna order the Alsa.
Looks more legit and it's a multiple stage deal.
The quest continues.
If I get bored on the weekend maybe I'll pick up a can of clear and give it a go
I'm not expecting a lot better from that particular type though.
If you hear any swearing.....duck!
