i don't know why rock bands ever got away from using Hammond B3s. They sound insanely great, and were used by a bunch of bands in the early 1970s, including most famously Deep Purple. I know Uriah Heep was around at the same time as the best version of Deep Purple. A double bill with those two bands, or a triple bill with them and maybe Vanilla Fudge or Blue Cheer would have been one for the ages.

As much as I love playing a real piano the B3 is my favorite keyboard ever.
